Diwali Fundraiser - Oct 23rd, 2022

The Muthmizh Sangam of Central Florida’s Diwali Celebration was the first event we have fundraised at in our mission to improve primary healthcare centers. As part of our fundraising process, we were able to educate the attendees by having one-on-one conversations about the impacts of our project. Our volunteers also got the opportunity to speak on stage to reach the whole audience. We collected donations from willing attendees and encouraged students to join the volunteer program as a way to get involved with projects while also earning high school community service hours. Our foundation had many incredible donors that we later recognized by giving cards, yard signs, and other tokens of our appreciation. Overall, this fundraising event fostered new relationships within the Tamil community in Orlando while also allowing them to give back to their hometown.
